Where is my data stored?
Your habits, reasons, photos, voice notes, check-ins, cravings and notes are stored on your iPhone and are not uploaded to Vow's servers. They move to a new phone through your iPhone backup or device transfer, not through a Vow account.
The full list of what does leave your device — and why — is in the privacy policy.
Are sensitive habits kept discreet?
Reminders are written so a glance at your lock screen does not reveal what you are working on. On Apple Watch faces, porn, gambling and drugs show only as "Your quit", and a setting controls whether your reason appears on widgets.
Does Vow collect analytics?
Vow records app usage events — for example that onboarding finished or a paywall was shown — and crash reports, through Google's Firebase. They never include your habits, your reason or anything you type. You can turn this off in Profile → Settings → Privacy with "Share analytics & crash reports".
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account & data and confirm. Vow deletes your sign-in account and erases your quit data from the device — habits, reasons, photos, voice notes, check-ins and achievements. If you signed in with Apple, you are asked to confirm with Apple so Vow can also revoke its access. If the account cannot be deleted (for example, you are offline), nothing is erased and you can try again.
Deleting cannot be undone, and it does not cancel an App Store subscription. See Delete your data for details, including how to ask us to delete anything by email.
